TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF, WHERE YOU'RE FROM AND WHAT YOU DO.

I've been in the creative industry for over 10 years, working alongside my incredible husband Shaun Lyle. We run a creative agency, Base Colour Creative, specialising in Creative Direction, Styling and Photography. During our career we have worked on projects with international fashion houses such as Dior, Valentino, Celine, Burberry and Tiffany & Co, as well as premium lifestyle and travel clients including Visit Dubai, Peninsula Paris and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts to name a few. We're regularly travelling for our job, but when we're not you'll find us hiding away at our coastal home in Ocean Grove.

WHATS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT SHOPPING IN MELBOURNE?

There is always so much happening in Melbourne. It's such a beautiful city with so much to do and see. The shopping scene is amazing with so many diverse options; no matter where you are, you'll be spoilt for choice with where to shop, eat and stay. You honestly have to make a day of it, or (in my opinion) a weekend of it!

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?

If I had to simplify it, I would say tonal and timeless, yet slightly edgy. I love incorporating minimalist pieces with a couple of statement items.

WHAT DOES HOME MEAN TO YOU?

Home is where I feel grounded and relaxed. Working in a fast paced environment, I love nothing more than to return to my coastal home and instantly feel calm and re-energised because of my surroundings.

WHERE DO YOU DRAW INSPIRATION FROM?

I pull inspiration from a variety of sources. Travel is definitely one of my main inspirational sources; regularly visiting locations such as Paris, Milan and Palm Springs, I feel my style has evolved to incorporate primarily European and Mid Century elements. I also love sourcing interior inspiration from Pinterest. You could honestly could spend hours and hours on end going down a rabbit hole of beautiful images on that platform!

WHICH MCM HOUSE PIECES ARE YOUR FAVOURITE AND WHY?

The Galleria bench and chairs are such a beautiful addition to my home. I love the warmth the wicker brings to the room, allowing the tonal elements of the rug and couch to work in harmony. I'm also a sucker for a great occasional chair - the boucle texture jumped out at me instantly!

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE MCM HOUSE MELBOURNE SHOWROOM?

The moment I stepped into the MCM Melbourne showroom, it felt exactly how I would describe home. A feeling of relaxation and calmness. The natural light in their is a whole other story! Everything flows and you can really envisage how rooms in your home can come together by adding mcm house items - the showroom is mapped out beautifully showcasing different rooms in the home and ways to style the spaces.

IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU BE?

Honestly, I am pretty content right now with where I am and how comfortable I feel at home in Ocean Grove. In saying that, I definitely wouldn't complain if I found myself in a lakeside villa in Lake Como or a Parisian apartment in the heart of the city of love. As long as Shaun was by my side, I think I could find myself at home anywhere in the world!
