STEVE CORDONY RESIDENCY

To celebrate the launch of his debut book, Moments at Home: Interior Inspiration for Every Room, Steve Cordony has created a striking installation within MCM House’s flagship store on Oxford Street, Paddington. Lined with the signature wallpaper from his own dining room, the structure replicates the book’s cover, offering guests an immersive entry into Steve’s world of interiors.
Global Book Launch

The evening brought together an intimate yet star-studded guest list, with industry icons, creatives, and close friends gathering to celebrate Steve’s milestone moment.

Among those in attendance were Jackie O, Guy Sebastian, Pip Edwards, and Neale Whitaker, all raising a glass to the renowned stylist’s first foray into publishing.

I’m so excited to be hosting my very first residency within the walls of MCM House, a brand that shares the same soulful and layered ethos that defines my own aesthetic," says Steve.

Guests immersed themselves in Steve’s world, exploring the installation before taking their seats for a long-table dinner catered by Fratelli Paradiso.

Mcm House

As a young stylist assistant, MCM House was one of the first stores Steve sourced from, forming a lasting friendship with founder Charles Hinckfuss. Over the years, MCM House has become a creative home—a place for sourcing, inspiration, and collaboration on countless projects and activations.

Supperclub

The space was also the setting for the Sydney Moments at Home Supper Club — a one of a kind event open to 60 guests to experience a unique dining, design, music and conversational experience.

Three Day Residency

Following the unforgettable book launch, MCM House welcomed guests into an intimate residency celebrating Moments at Home: Interior Inspiration for Every Room. Open to all, the showroom played host to Steve Cordony’s immersive pop-up, where visitors could step inside the cover of his book, have a copy signed, and shop a curated selection of his favorite pieces.

Throughout the residency, the space became a destination for design lovers and creatives alike. Guests sipped on Vittoria coffee, settled into the ‘dining room’ installation, and experienced firsthand the layered, soulful aesthetic that defines both Steve’s work and MCM House.

Slow down, connect, and be inspired.
